Shane O. Rios was raised in the Fordham Road area of the Bronx, New York. Mr. Rios is a graduate of John Jay College of Criminal Justice where he received his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, cum laude in 2001.

In 2004, Mr. Rios graduated Fordham School of Law. At Fordham, Mr. Rios was a member of the American Constitution Society and aggressively advocated for the preservation of civil liberties. Mr. Rios also interned with Justice Richard Lee Price in Bronx County Supreme Court, where he assisted in drafting legal opinions. In recognition for his commitment to public service, Shane was awarded the Archibald R. Murray Public Service Award in 2004.

After graduating from law school, Mr. Rios worked as an attorney for the 2004 Democratic Presidential campaign. Thereafter, Mr. Rios worked at several prominent New York defense firms, including Geringer & Dolan, LLP, and Traub, Lieberman, Straus, & Shrewsberry, LLP.

There, Mr. Rios successfully defended multi-million dollar personal jury actions, including wrongful death actions, construction accidents, elevator/escalator accidents, automobile accidents, and trip/slip and falls. Mr. Rios’ vast experience as a defense lawyer greatly enhances his ability to effectively prosecute personal injury actions. Mr. Rios is an active member of the New York County Lawyers’ Association, The New York State Trial Lawyers Association, and the American Civil Liberties Union.

Mr. Rios firmly believes that the key to a successful attorney-client relationship is open access between the lawyer and client. As such, clients are provided direct access to Mr. Rios at all times.

Mr. Rios is thrilled to build his practice in The Bronx. Indeed, he appreciates the opportunity to zealously advocate for the needs of the very community he was raised in. For Mr. Rios, there is no higher honor than using his legal ability for the benefit of those that molded his character.
